Karen Lewis, currently Ministerial Director at the Minnesota Conference of SDA, has been actively involved in Bible work for the past twenty years. Beginning first as a part-time Bible worker and eventually into the Director for the Rocky Mountain conference Bible worker training program. She trains laypeople on friendship evangelism.
Part of her development was the use of the “Lifting up Jesus” bible lessons, which she authored and has been effectively using and training others to use. These lessons are unlike any others in that the gospel and relationship with Jesus are first introduced before going into doctrine. Results have been phenomenal, as laypeople who have never given a bible study before are having decisions for baptisms.
